John Knoll

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional, CFP®, ChFC, RICP

John Knoll joined Equitable Advisors and Partners in Planning, LLC in March 2016 with previous experience in the banking and golfing industry.  As a comprehensive financial planner, he provides risk management, retirement planning, and wealth preservation strategies to both individuals and businesses. John is committed to building long-lasting relationships with his clients by working with them to identify their needs, timelines, resources, and objectives to formulate customized strategies in the areas of accumulation, protecting, and distributing wealth.

John joined the membership ranks of the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) of America in 2013, continues to maintain membership with the organization, and still provides golf instruction lessons.  Building on his golf instruction techniques, he recognizes there is no one correct way to solve all problems, both in golf and financial planning.  Working together as a unified team to first develop appropriate goals and needs, he and his clients then achieve success by maintaining discipline to the plan laid out. John also spent time in the banking world, building his skills and knowledge of the financial and business industries.

John holds advanced professional designations from The American College including: Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP). He also earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional (CFP®) designation. He also holds FINRA Registrations Series 7, 63, and 65, as well as Life and Health Insurance licenses.  John earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a double major in Information Technology and Marketing from Marquette University, Milwaukee in 2010.

John lives in Wausau with his wife Jackie, and is kept on his toes with their three daughters Hayley, Evelyn, and Lexi. He remains active within the community through several volunteer and non-profit initiatives, as well as board positions.
